QuikDB Terms of Service

By creating an account and using the QuikDB-Nodes platform, you acknowledge that:

• You are at least 18 years old and legally eligible to enter into this agreement.
• You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using the platform.

QuikDB offers a community-powered cloud infrastructure platform with two primary service models:

• Node Operators: Run QuikDB node software on devices to earn crypto tokens (QuikDB tokens and monthly bonus tokens) by providing computing resources and maintaining high uptime.
• Developers: Deploy and scale containerized applications across our decentralized network of nodes with transparent, cost-effective pricing.
• Network Services: Heartbeat monitoring, token distribution, leaderboard rankings, and blockchain-based identity management.

All services are accessed via a web dashboard (www.quikdb.com), REST API, or command-line interface (CLI).

• You must create an account and initialize a unique user identity linked to a blockchain wallet.
• This wallet will be used to prepay for services and manage resource usage and billing.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your wallet credentials and private keys.

QuikDB operates on a token-based rewards system:

• Node Operators: Earn QuikDB tokens through heartbeat rewards (every 2 minutes) and monthly bonus tokens for top performers.
• Token Value: QuikDB tokens do not have a fixed USD conversion rate. Future value depends on token launch, circulation, and market demand.
• Monthly Bonuses: Top-performing nodes may earn partner tokens worth approximately $7-8 per device per month at current rates (subject to change).
• No Guarantees: Token earnings are experimental and not guaranteed income. All rewards are in tokens, not cash.
• Developer Payments: Developers using compute resources operate on a prepaid model with transparent, per-hour pricing.

For node operators:

• Your device must send heartbeats every 2 minutes to earn rewards.
• Token earnings are based on uptime, reliability, and performance metrics.
• Higher uptime = more token accumulation over time.
• You are responsible for your device's electricity costs and internet connectivity.

For the platform:

• We strive for high network availability but cannot guarantee 100% uptime.
• Individual node failures are the responsibility of node operators.
• We are not liable for lost earnings due to network issues, device failures, or connectivity problems.

You may not use QuikDB-Nodes to:

• Deploy malware or engage in illegal activities.
• Violate intellectual property rights.
• Interfere with node operations or network stability.
• Circumvent platform security measures.

Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

We collect the following data to operate the platform and calculate rewards:

• Account information (username, email, wallet addresses)
• Heartbeat data and uptime metrics (sent every 2 minutes)
• Device performance, location (country/region), and hardware specifications
• Token balances, earnings, and leaderboard rankings
• Deployment logs, API usage, and IP addresses

Your performance data and earnings may be publicly visible on leaderboards. See our Privacy Policy for full details. All sensitive data is encrypted and handled per data protection laws.

All software, algorithms, and UI elements developed by QuikDB are owned by the platform and its contributors. Reverse-engineering or unauthorized redistribution is prohibited unless under an open-source license. Node operators retain ownership of their devices and data.

QuikDB is provided 'AS IS' without warranties of any kind:

• No guarantee of token value, earnings, or profitability.
• No warranty regarding merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
• Cryptocurrency and token rewards are experimental and volatile.
• Node operation may not be profitable after electricity and hardware costs.

You assume all risks associated with running a node and earning tokens.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, QuikDB and its contributors shall not be liable for:

• Loss of tokens, earnings, or potential profits
• Fluctuations in token value or market conditions
• Device damage, electricity costs, or hardware failures
• Network downtime, heartbeat failures, or connectivity issues
• Indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
• Loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities

Your total liability is limited to the amount of tokens earned in the past 30 days (if any).

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations or misuse. Funds may be frozen or forfeited in cases of abuse, fraud, or illegal activity.

We may update these Terms periodically. Updates will be posted on the site or via CLI logs. Continued use constitutes agreement to the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Lagos, Nigeria. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Lagos without regard to conflict of law principles.
